£350 per couple + precious metal
A full-day private workshop for two, exploring botanicals, natural forms and storytelling through jewellery.
This is my signature workshop and the closest experience to stepping inside my own design process.
Before the workshop, I’ll invite you to gather botanicals, textures, photographs or natural objects that hold meaning for you both. These become the starting point for your rings.
During the day, I’ll show you how I translate those references into jewellery, helping you develop and carve two completely individual rings in wax.
Your finished designs will then be professionally cast into your chosen precious metal and finished in my studio.
No previous jewellery-making experience is needed.
What’s included
The £350 workshop fee covers:
A private full-day workshop for two
Pre-workshop botanical and design guidance
One-to-one design development with Phoebe
Wax-carving tuition
Use of all tools and carving materials
Tea, coffee and refreshments
A simple picnic-style lunch
Preparation of both designs for casting
Professional finishing and polishing after casting
Precious metal is charged separately.
How much will the gold cost?
The final metal price depends on the finished weight of your designs and the metal and carat you choose.
As a rough guide for 9ct gold:
Lightweight ring — from approximately £180
Around 2g finished weight
Medium-weight ring — from approximately £250+
Around 4–5g finished weight
More substantial or sculptural designs will require more metal and will therefore cost more.
Once your waxes have developed, I can estimate their finished metal weight and confirm the likely material cost with you before casting.
Other metals and carats, including 18ct gold and sterling silver, can also be quoted.
The workshop setting
The workshop takes place in my working jewellery studio in South Bermondsey - a relaxed shared creative space where I design and make my own collections.
For full-day workshops, I provide a simple picnic-style lunch. When the weather allows, we can take a break from the studio and eat in the nearby community garden.
The focus of the day is on making, experimenting and developing something personal together rather than a formal classroom experience.
